Porcelain Veneers in Crossbite




A crossbite occurs when the normal outer overlap of the upper teeth is compromised. This patient was unwilling to undergo orthodontic treatment. He presented with ten-year old composite veneer restorations that had become quite discolored.

Porcelain laminate veneers are thin layers of porcelain bonded to the outer surface of the tooth enamel. Unlike the plastic composite resin they are resistant to stains,

The laboratory was instructed to exactly mimic the shape and contour of the prior restoration to ensure longevity. The shade selection was facilitated by the use of the Canon D30 digital camera and an Epson 870 photo inkjet printer.
